I recently had a case before the Dis Honorable Bascom W. Bentley III. I couldn't believe how corrupt, rude and disgusting he was. My lawyer and I sat and watched the cases before us, and there was one elderly lady who was representing herself, and doing a wonderful job at presenting the law that backed up her motions, and you could see that he was intimidated because she knew the law, and he screamed at her for no reason, telling her she needed a lawyer, it was evident that he was punishing her for daring to recite the law to him. He actually attacked her verbally, and threatened to arrest her if she said anything more at all. The lady was conducting herself very nicely. He talked to her like she was a piece of trash. My lawyer and I were both looking at each other in awe at this Judges corrupt behavior. He went out of his way to show everyone that he does NOT have to follow the law, and he dares anyone to defy him. He is the most corrupt and rude judge that I have ever seen in my life. My lawyer was totally disgusted with him as well. He purposely ignores the law and he has no regard for our Judicial system whatsoever. I have always heard about corruption in the courts of Palestine, Texas, but now I am a believer and so is my Lawyer.

Bascom Bentley the III admitted to being on pain medication for his back while on the bench in 2014 whilst substituting for the ousted and defamed Craig Fletcher. This would explain his rash behavior and poor judgement. He and many other judges should not be on the bench due to their high doses of medication and their tendency to mix that with enough alcohol to put an elephant to sleep. Drug Test all civil servants now.
