I am still disturb on a court hearing today. I was present in court with a case that involved a mother's and father's custody rights. The Honorable Judge asked, how much time do you need to prepare your case? The defendant stated that he had all of his evidence and was prepared today. The judge then asked the same question, the same way again so then the defendant responded with I am prepared today and he said I guess in May ( because he couldn't understand the question). At that point that is when the Judge got irritated with him and stated that the defendant was not answering his question and he also said rudely obviously there is a problem why are you not getting it! Then State of Texas Representative jumped in and said he is asking you to answer the question. How much time do you need to prepare, comma as in five minutes, ten minutes! That is when he said Oh you guys would like to do this today! I don't need time to prepare as I am already prepared. In my line of field I have come across many people that have many learning disorders which this man could of had. Obviously, they are coming to court because of a conflict in their life which is already stressful enough. We shouldn't degrade anyone when we can simply try to undersand people better. I myself thought he was answering the question correctly and could not understand why the Judge kept repeating it. I would expect more from a Judge. I know that the courts do this all day but you have to understand not everyone that comes into the court room know court lingo.
Lynn Cherry presided over our divorce. My ex is an attorney and her bias was transparent. Her rulings are emotion based not fact based. She rambles and at times makes no sense. She is a disgrace to the bench.
