Judge John Landsen is purposefully delaying a ruling in a very simple holdover case in hopes a tenant without a lease in a private house will get a reassignment from Section 8 Housing. However, this tenant's lease expired in September of 2011 and she was allowed to delay thru the holiday's. Section 8 has already said they do not intend to continue her benefits at a new residence. The case was heard in January and the Judge refusing to issue a ruling. This is a blatant abuse of his power. He is hoping to avoid making a decision. His actions in delay are causing irreparable damage, stress and finacial hardship to the landlord.

This so called Judge is a disgrace, pro landlord numerous complaints yet he is appointed supervising Judge of Queens. Hmm somebody must have lined their pockets. This Judge has numerous complaints against him yet he is still on the bench. Does not follow the law, is rude, abrupt horrid, extremely unprofessional does not allow witnesses or evidence to be presented. "Highly" advises you to do as he says or the results could leave you in the street. Protects slumlord landlords punishes good law abiding paying tenants.

He's a pay to play, takes gifts. He's Evicted a tenant that moves away over a year ago and wasn't even served with any notice. The tenant has already relocated a year ago or more. He's also allowing a Holdover against a tenant with no cause of termination of lease he is evicting the tenant. The tenant has lived in a hotel for over six months, further the guy claiming to be owner isn't the Petitioner named on the Petition. I've seen other reviews about him including identity theft, scams and he needs to be removed it's not fair to the people. The Queens Housing Court is bias towards tenants I heard them telling pro se tenants to sign a Stipulated Settlement because if they don't they may end up before the Judge and be evicted in five days. This courthouse needs to be cleaned out. Not fair!!

Zero, needs to be cuffed. I moved out right after being served conspicuously with a Thirty Day Notice that was defective for my case anyway, the witness for the Petitioner testified I moved away over a year ago yet he just Evicted me? This will ruin my credit and my Lease Agreement with my new landlord when he finds it online on the list they put us on. Further, he is evicting my daughter and grandkids from a hotel in Queens when they have lived there over two years and my daughter trying to Appeal but they're telling her they can't find her case both Kings And Queens keep telling my daughter they can't find her case but this is to prevent her from filing an Appeal. Strangely tho the landlords attorney got the decision and entered it same day he released his decision, they're good friends We need judicial reform urgently, I heard the people that are supposed to help mediate landlords and tenants disputes telling Tenants to sign agreements because if they don't they will go before a judge and get evicted in five days. That's not true at all, if you go to trial you have a chance and you can appeal you cannot appeal a Stipulated Agreement, only in rare cases you can Appeal. If you get served to appear here request a change of venue because you will not get a fair trial or anything else fair here.
